RESEARCH DEGREES

Master of Philosophy (MPhil)

A 2‑year research degree that enables you to pursue independent work in legal studies, governance, or interdisciplinary topics.
RESEARCH DEGREES

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Pursue rigorous, independent doctoral research. in the areas of law and governance. within the EPLO’s international academic environment.

The ELGU Research Degrees allow students to conduct research from their home countries without the need for commuting. Students are required to attend a 10-day training for acquiring research skills. They will then liaised with a professor of the ELGU network and will be asked to conduct research in a topic and language of their choice.

More importantly, students of the program will be granted access to attend EPLO events on key themes in EU law and governance and to interact with renowned EU leaders and decision-makers. Students graduate with a clear understanding and awareness of the most up-to-date scholarly research, as well as a solid network to support them in their career after the ELGU.
