Three months, one campus by the sea, and an immersive experience of Greece, European affairs and the work of EPLO.
On Friday, 24 July, the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) held the closing ceremony of its Executive Internship Program, marking the completion of a three-month programme for a visiting delegation from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
The delegation joined EPLO at the ELGU Headquarters in Legrena–Sounion at the end of May, embarking on an intensive programme that combined academic learning, professional experience and first-hand engagement with Greece and its institutions.
Over the course of their stay, the students completed a short EU affairs training programme, undertook internships across EPLO departments and agencies, and participated in ELGU summer schools and special lectures. In total, the programme comprised approximately 200 working hours, including research, assignments and presentations of their work.
Their experience extended well beyond the classroom. As part of the programme, the delegation visited a range of institutions and organizations, including the Europa Experience, the Municipality of Lavreotiki, the Hellenic Parliament, the Onassis Foundation, and the “Konstantinos G. Karamanlis” Foundation.
These visits offered an opportunity to explore Greece first-hand and to connect their academic and professional interests with the country’s political, institutional and cultural landscape.
The closing ceremony provided an opportunity for EPLO colleagues and the visiting students to reflect on a rewarding three months of learning, exchange and collaboration.
