In addition to tuition fees, students should be aware that attending ELGU programs involves other direct and indirect costs such as books, supplies, accommodation, and living expenses. These should be taken into consideration when applying.

Please check each individual program page for the exact tuition fee and cost structure. Flexible payment plans are available upon admission.

Payment Information

There are three possible ways of paying your application fee and tuition fees to the ELGU.

Scholarships

Scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees are available for a select number of students and are merit-based. Details about scholarship availability are detailed in each program description.

If you are interested in receiving a scholarship, you can do so by:

  • selecting the appropriate box on the application form
  • outlining the Scholarship you wish to apply for and the ways in which you satisfy the criteria in your 400-600 word personal statement. 

Prospective students for scholarship calls should apply through the website of the ELGU stating their wish to specifically receive a scholarship for one of the below calls in their personal statement section within the application form.


Scholarships

ITALIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ITALIAN NATIONALS

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic offers six full scholarships for Italian nationals applying to the European Law and Governance School postgraduate programs (LLM, MA) and the one‑year research program (MSt).

These scholarships cover one year of tuition fees for the following ELGU degrees:

  • LLM in EU Law
  • MA in Governance
  • MSt in European Law and Governance

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Being an Italian citizen
  • Being under 35 years of age
  • Holding a completed undergraduate degree
  • Providing a Certificate of Proficiency in English (for non‑native speakers; scanned and uploaded)
  • Meeting all additional requirements necessary for completing the ELGU admission process (application form and supporting documents)


EPLO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ITALIAN CITIZENS OR RESIDENTS

The EPLO offers 20 Undergraduate and 20 Postgraduate full tuition scholarships to Italian Citizens or Residents for the Academic year 2024/2025 for its campus in Athens. Accommodation at the ELGU guest house (capacity 25 students) will be charged at a low and reasonable fee.


EPLO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UKRAINIAN STUDENTS

The EPLO offers 20 Undergraduate studies full tuition scholarships to Ukrainian students that would like to study at the ELGU campus in Athens. Accommodation at the ELGU guest house (capacity 20 students) will be charged at a low and reasonable fee.


EPLO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GREEK STUDENTS

The EPLO offers 20 full scholarships to Greek students enrolled at Greek universities who wish to pursue the ELGU Undergraduate Degrees in parallel with their existing studies. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

Students who are permanent residents of Greece, currently studying at a Greek university, and who hold a High School diploma with a grade of 18.1 or above, may be considered for a scholarship within the framework of the EPLO Scholarship Program. Applicants who wish to be considered should select the relevant option on the ELGU application form and dedicate part of their personal statement to explaining how they meet the eligibility criteria.


EPLO MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

EPLO merit‑based scholarships offer up to a 50% tuition‑fee waiver for outstanding students. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of the academic and personal record they submit with their application.

In addition to the merit‑based scheme, this year the EPLO also offers 20 full and 20 partial scholarships at each level of study (undergraduate and postgraduate). These scholarships are available to students coming from specific countries in the Balkan peninsula, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Black Sea region, and Africa.


OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS

Students of Research Degrees must be able to provide evidence of sufficient funding to cover the cost of their tuition fees throughout the duration of the program. If you have obtained funding from an outside source, please indicate this in your application.

Please note that there are a limited number of scholarships available each year, which are merit based.
