“What ELGU really excels at is providing students with the opportunity to pursue education that will allow them to acquire specific skills and professional growth. I'm thankful to the community of ELGU for the support and grateful for the great professors who encourage you all the way and challenge you to aim higher. Not to forget the moment you enter the premises of ELGU , you just fall in love with the grandeur and beauty of its old building rich with culture and history.”
“Hi my name is Sarra Ajroud, I’m a 21 years old student from Tunisia. I am currently enrolled in the MA in Governance program within the ELGU. Before coming here I did my BA in public law but deep down I’ve always wanted to continue my studies in Political Sciences, that is why I chose the MA in Governance program. Studying within the ELGU is a great experience, the courses are very effective, the professors are very helpful and I have learned and gained so much knowledge from the very start. On the plus side, living in Athens is a far greater experience. I think it’s an amazing city for students as you get to unravel both the ancient Greece culture and the Modern European lifestyle.”
“ELGU helped me achieve my career goals in an international environment by providing me with an internationally recognized degree that strengthened my academic and professional profile. I always aspired to pursue a PhD at Sant’Anna University and to work for an EU agency. Today, I am fulfilling both dreams—I am currently a PhD candidate in Human Rights, Global Politics, and Sustainability, and I work as a legal assistant at EFSA.”
“What I valued most about my time at the ELGU was how the program blended academic and legal education with real-world applicability. The international environment and practical focus - through case studies, interactive learning, and direct engagement with EU professionals - created a dynamic learning experience that went beyond traditional classroom instruction.”
“If you are contemplating to participate in a summer school, this summer school is by far the best one for a first experience. Either way I can strongly recommend applying for this summer school – it will be a truly enriching experience and you will definitely not regret it.”
“This program offers a solid understanding of EU law, its institutional framework, and its impact on member states and elsewhere. The LLB in EU Law degree program is one of the best in that it offers an overview of the EU legal order, which is essential for developing the professional skills necessary for a career in international or EU law.”
“I am extremely grateful to the ELGU for having given me the opportunity to further specialize and develop my knowledge in the field of international affairs and, particularly, on India, which is perfectly in line with my academic specialization in South Asian studies. The post-graduate Master of Studies program I have pursued was completely tailor-made for me and this has been an invaluable experience.”
“The ELGU Master of Studies stands out with its distinguished uniqueness. During this one-year program, a new horizon opened up for me in the research world, in which I found my true passion. I personally felt the degree course was extremely rewarding, due to the fact that it gave me a number of skills that I will certainly use to get the work done in my future endeavours. Working closely with my supervisor on my research project went far beyond my expectations and I could not be more satisfied with the educational experience I had at the ELGU in Athens”
