ELGU Rome Students Visit FAO Headquarters and the Food and Agriculture Museum & Network (FAO MuNe)

Students of the European Law and Governance University (ELGU) Rome campus, together with members of its academic network, recently visited the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome.

As part of the visit, participants took part in a guided tour of the Food and Agriculture Museum & Network (FAO MuNe), inaugurated in October 2025. Through interactive exhibits, the Museum presents key milestones in global policies aimed at eradicating hunger and achieving food security worldwide.

The visit began at the FAO Constitution Wall, highlighting the Organization’s founding principles and Zero Hunger mandate, and continued through the Plenary Hall, where global food and agriculture policies are debated by world leaders. Participants also visited the Atrium and Flag Hall, symbolizing FAO’s 194 Member Nations, as well as institutional spaces where FAO’s governing bodies convene.

This visit offered ELGU students’ valuable first-hand insight into the role of international institutions in shaping global governance, and into how FAO’s past, present, and future initiatives contribute to building a more equitable and food-secure world.
